Green Oasis Wins Architecture Awards
The villas are divided into seven functional units. Each of them is designed around a courtyard - a semi-public space intended mainly for the residents of each unit. The new development covers five hectares and has a public park at its center. On the first floor there are stores and a new stop for public transportation. There are a maximum of three apartments on each floor, so six to nine units share a common entrance at any given time. Almost every apartment has a spacious loggia, a cross-ventilated floor plan, an ideal orientation to the sun and a view of the park green and private courtyard. The first floor apartments have a private front yard. Thoughtful interior layout and ample storage space were also emphasized.
The light gypsum plaster Cemix 4230, which has improved thermal insulation properties, was chosen to treat the interior wall surfaces. Thanks to its natural moisture regulation, it provides a pleasant indoor climate. For larger projects, the possibility of machine application is a significant advantage that speeds up the work process considerably. The application thickness of up to 40 mm in a single coat is also a major advantage. Care was also taken in the choice of other building materials to preserve the natural character of the site. The main expressive element of the houses is the larch wood cladding of the loggias without any surface treatment. The Villa Park Tabulový Vrch Olomouc, a work of the studio Chybík+Kryštof, won one of the partner awards in the competition for the Architecture Award 2020. The jury especially appreciated the innovative approach to solutions for new, healthy housing. Last year, the first stage also won the title of "Building of the Year" in the competition "Building of the Year of the Olomouc Region 2020".
